Video management simplified
Uploading new content to Clevercast is fast and intuitive. Just drag and drop a local video file on to your browser, or upload the file over FTP. Clevercast will automatically encode the video into multiple resolutions for adaptive streaming, so your audience will get the best possible viewing experience on any device or platform. After the video has been processed, you may choose to receive an email notification inviting you (and other team members) to further edit the video before it’s being published.
After uploading your video, a series of snapshot images are automatically extracted from the video frames. One of these images will be used in thumbnail galleries and as the player’s background image. Not satisfied with the automatically generated images? Use the manual thumbnail generator to select an exact video frame or upload a custom image.
Clevercast offers powerful tools to perform bulk actions on video items, users, players and playlists. For example, by tagging multiple videos at once you can create a smart playlist that presents several related videos in a single player to the viewer. Retrieving a specific video is made simple by the powerful search filter that allows you to combine video properties, tags and other metadata. Many routine tasks can be automated, such as deleting or unpublishing older videos.
The analytics dashboard provides detailed insights into how, where and when your audience consumes video. User engagement history contains a wealth of information for content creators and advertisers on how your content is being consumed. Much more than mere numbers, these graphs show which portions of your video are being watched, at which point drop-off rates become critical, and what can be done to further engage your audience.
Furthermore the dashboard displays realtime analytics for both live and on demand video, giving you information about video being watched right now. Being able to detect trending content can prove to be priceless, as it allows you to follow up instantly.
Role based permissions provide a fine-grained tool to involve multiple users with different responsibilities in the video creation and publishing process. Access rights are two-dimensional, as they control which actions a user is allowed to take (for example publish a video) and to which video items he or she has access. The team administrator can easily add new collaborators and assign tasks and rights.
