Portal Security

Multiple levels of user authentication and/or registration are supported, ranging from single sign-on to token-based user registration.

By default, videos are only accessible from within the portal through a secure streaming URL. This prevents videos from being downloaded or shared with third parties. If you want to make portal videos available on your site, you can implement the same protection mechanism.

Secure streaming works in our HTML5 player on all devices. It is fully compatible with adaptive streaming in multiple resolutions, so your audience will always get the best possible viewing experience. It can also be combined with Clevercast’s interactive video functionality.

Why not use YouTube?

There are plenty of reasons not to use YouTube (or similar) for corporate video. Of course, the main reason is privacy. Even if your videos do not contain sensitive information, most video communication will be better if makers know in advance that their content can only be watched internally.

Moreover, YouTube is not really suited for public business videos. For example, there is a lack of clarity about which rights YouTube holds on uploaded videos. YouTube also doesn’t have any branding options.

Finally, there is the burden of ads and ‘related’ videos that YouTube displays along with your video. YouTube’s even allows your competitors to target your videos with their ads.
